Doctrinal Statement
The Bible We believe that all 66 books of the Bible are fully inspired by God, inerrant in their original manuscripts, infallible, and wholly sufficient for faith and practice. The Bible is the final authority on all matters of faith, conduct, and doctrine. Its truth is eternal and applicable to every age and culture. Scripture is the living and active Word of God, guiding believers in all areas of life and worship.
God We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal, coeternal, and fully divine, existing in perfect unity. God is holy, sovereign, unchanging, and the Creator of all things. He brought the universe into existence in six literal days and rested on the seventh. God is worthy of all worship, glory, and obedience.
The Trinity The term "Trinity" describes the triune nature of God as revealed in Scripture. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are distinct persons yet one in essence. This doctrine is foundational to the Christian faith and should not be altered or reinterpreted to suit cultural or philosophical preferences.
Salvation We affirm that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross, and rose bodily from the dead to reconcile sinners to God. Salvation cannot be earned through human works or merit but is freely given to all who repent of their sins and place their trust in Christ. Upon salvation, believers are adopted into the family of God as His children. However, we do not become divine; rather, we remain human while being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Heaven and Hell We believe that Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of God and His redeemed people, prepared for those who trust in Christ for salvation. Entrance into Heaven is by grace alone and cannot be earned by good works.
Hell is a place of eternal punishment, originally prepared for Satan and his fallen angels. It is also the destination of all who reject God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Both Heaven and Hell are real, conscious, and eternal realities.
Sin We believe that sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden, resulting in the fall of humanity. All people are born with a sinful nature and are separated from God. Sin brings spiritual death, but through Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice, we are reconciled to God. While Christians may still struggle with sin, they are called to a life of repentance and holiness, empowered by the Holy Spirit. A lifestyle of unrepentant sin is incompatible with the Christian faith, and we are to reject sin in our lives and in our teaching.
Marriage and Sexuality We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by God, and is defined as the union of one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Sexual intimacy is a gift from God and is to be expressed exclusively within the bounds of Biblical marriage. Any sexual activity outside of this design, including but not limited to adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and pornography, is sin and contrary to God’s will.
We affirm the God-given distinctions between male and female as biological realities created in His image (Genesis 1:27). Attempts to alter one’s biological sex reject God’s design and purpose.
Sanctity of Life We believe that all human life is sacred and created in the image of God from conception to natural death (Psalm 139:13-16). Abortion, euthanasia, and any action that undermines the value of human life are grave sins. As Christians, we are called to protect and cherish life at every stage.
The Church The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have been redeemed by His blood. It is not merely a building but a spiritual community of believers called to worship God, grow in faith, and fulfill the Great Commission. While denominations exist, true unity is found only in Jesus Christ and the truth of Scripture. Unity apart from Christ is not Biblical unity. God has established order within the Church, appointing pastors and deacons to lead according to the qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-11. Worship, discipleship, and missions are the Church's primary callings.
Missions We believe that every believer is called to participate in the Great Commission as given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20. Sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and teaching obedience to God’s Word are responsibilities of all Christians, whether at home or abroad. Missions are the heartbeat of the Church, driven by love for God and compassion for the lost.
Religious Liberty and Truth We believe in the freedom to worship God according to the teachings of Scripture without interference from government or societal pressures. However, we reject the relativistic belief that all religions or worldviews are equally valid. Jesus Christ is the only way to God (John 14:6), and all other paths lead to destruction.
Summary This Statement of Faith reflects our unwavering commitment to the truth of God’s Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We stand firmly on these foundational doctrines, striving to glorify God in all we do.
